BetMirror is built for people trying to reduce gambling harm. Your trust matters, so we keep data collection lean and tell you plainly what we gather and why.

Who we are
This policy explains how BetMirror (“we”, “us”) handles personal data for the website and app at betmirror.org. For any privacy question or request, contact contact@betmirror.org.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, email, and (if you use it) your Google sign-in identity.
- Your activity in the app — the virtual bets you place and settle. These are simulated; no real money is ever wagered or moved.
- Billing data — if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment. We store only a customer/subscription reference, never your card number.
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location, browser/device info, and error reports, collected via the analytics tools listed below.
How we use it
- To run your account and the Financial Mirror / Addiction Score.
- To process subscriptions and manage billing.
- To understand how the app is used and improve it.
- To detect, diagnose and fix errors and abuse.
We do not sell your data, and we take no gambling-operator advertising or affiliate revenue.
Analytics & third-party processors
We use a small set of trusted processors. Each handles data under its own privacy policy:
Aggregate website traffic and usage analytics.
Product analytics, session and behaviour tracking to improve the app.
Subscription payments. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
Managed Postgres database hosting where your account and virtual bets are stored.
Optional Google OAuth sign-in.
Cookies & similar technologies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies (via Google Analytics and PostHog) to understand usage. Where required, we ask for your consent first, and you can manage cookies in your browser settings.
Data retention
We keep account and bet data while your account is active. You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings — deletion removes your account and associated virtual bets.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under UK/EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, email contact@betmirror.org.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, tell you in-app.
